Blundstone 558 - Classic Black

Exceeds expectations - my friends have been raving about these boots for years. I finally pulled the trigger and am more than pleased. I wore these boots every day, trekking through the cobbled streets of rural France for 15 days and never experienced foot or leg pain. They are champs through the sleet, snow, rain, and muck. I know they will last me YEARS, but I will absolutely be making this purchase again when needed.

These boots have been comfortable from the first time I put them on. The leather is resilient and I trust they will age well.

I had never replaced the original sheepskin footbeds and after putting them in they look incredible and feel like a dream!

Easily my favorite boot

So, I wasn't 100% sure what size to order, and local stores didn't have my size to try. I am a true 6 but run a little wide (like a C). In this 550 model, decided to order the 3 Au. At first, they fit PERFECTLY everywhere except the top of the mid-foot was extremely tight (I do have quite a high arch). I stayed with it from other reviews that said there is a break in time and so glad I did. It was so tight at first i took out the insoles initially bc it was painful and cut off my circulation (!), but long term I prefer them to be in, so when I built comfort up without them (plus thick socks), I put the insoles back in. This maybe took 7-8 wears (not all day at first). Now I love them and they are comfortable (I mean not big cushion, but very supportive for 8 hr shifts on my feet) and cute. Hope they last a long time, time will tell!
